Spencer Dinwiddie, U.S. bow to Canada

Spencer Dinwiddie (Denver Post file)

Luke Hancock of Louisville scored 27 points and the University of Colorado's Spencer Dinwiddie had a game-high eight assists Friday, but Team USA lost 94-85 to Canada at the World University Games in Kazan, Russia, and was knocked out of medal contention for the second consecutive year. Dinwiddie also finished with five points, four rebounds and two steals. "Canada certainly is a very good team," said U.S. coach Bob McKillop of Davidson. "They look like a team, they played like a team. Our guys emptied their gas tanks. They gave a great effort, but we fell short."?
